Pond Restoration
Project Summary:
Poly Prep Country Day School called upon eDesign Dynamics (EDD) to work with their Landscape Designer, Billie Cohen, to restore two existing ponds as part of their campus green initiatives. The restoration aims to return the ponds to a healthy sustainable state while integrating science classes and environmental clubs into the process. EDD is producing design solutions for the re-contouring of the ponds, the creation of wetland habitat, and allowing pedestrian access to the water’s edge.
The restored ponds will become a Living Lab by providing natural wetland habitat and an educational focus for students to observe the wildlife and natural cycles of the site.
